Today, I would like to deliver speech entitled “The Danger of Smoking”.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is not a secret that many smokers have known and felt the danger of smoking. But, they seem to close their eyes with a variety of reasons. In fact, smoking cigarette has been scientifically proven that it can cause at least 25 sorts of type of disease. It means, when various countries in the world, include developing countries try to tighten the regulation toward the problem of smoking which aims to protect people’s health, instead Indonesia becomes a heaven for the cigarette industry.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Although some local governments has issued and also has many applied regulations and restrictions, for example, prohibition of smoking at public place. But, there are still many smokers who do not obey the regulations, therefore, we are as a good citizen and also care about the importance of health, let’s together make a healthy life without cigarette smoking starts from each of ourselves.

If we talk about the impacts generated by inhalation of the smoke from the cigarette, let us see what the results of the research done by the an international research institution. First is the fate of a mother whose husband smokes and children are from smoker. The research done concludes that 33 of 40 women are in high-risk to suffer the danger of smoking, that is lung cancer when her husband is smoking. Because of that, if we love those who are around us, with awareness of self, let us make our own policies for ourselves and to those who are aimed at around us to escape from the impacts caused by smoking.
