Ladies and gentleman that I respected! First of all, let’s pray and praise to the almighty God because of His grace and blessings, we can gather in this room in a good health.
Thank you for the opportunity which is given to me so that I can say a few words that may be useful for all of us. On this nice occasion, I will talk about the importance of public health for us.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Health is one of the important aspects in this life that should we keep because it is extremely expensive. We can be healthy if we maintain the cleanliness in our community because hygiene can reflect ourselves as a human that has healthy physique and thoughts. Extensively, it can make us as a healthy society and hard to get disease.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Nowadays, a lot of people suffer illness because there are so many infectious diseases in the community such as bird flu, eyes disease, Ebola, and others that are ready to infect us. Therefore, we must take care of our health. There are several factors that can cause human to get ill easily. The first is dirty environment; it is a place for various diseases to grow. So that is why, we must keep the cleanness in our environment which can be used as a home for bad viruses and bacteria.
Ladies and gentlemen,
There are some ways to make our environment clean, those are, removing the rubbish in its proper place, burying the unused items in the ground, and draining the bath tub regularly. By doing those activities, it can prevent the disease to infect us. The diseases that can arise in dirty environment are itching, skin diseases, and many others.
[sc:kodeadsense]The second is air pollution; it can be produced by smoke from motor vehicles, factories, and cigarettes. Moreover, the effects of air pollution are much more higher because there are so many number of tress are cut and caused our air is not fresh and clean anymore. Therefore, let’s go greening by planting trees everywhere as air filter that can produces oxygen for us.
The third is an unhealthy lifestyle; today, we do not pay attention to the good lifestyle for our lives. In fact, if we do the good lifestyle we will be healthy and avoid illness. How can we do a healthy lifestyle? It can be done easily if we have good intentions in ourselves. The good life style can be done by avoiding eating fast food such as instant noodles, junk food, and foods with high cholesterol; as we see that many others food that cause a lot of problem for our health. Although those foods are very tasty to teat, but they can cause cancer and other dangerous diseases when they are consumed continuously. Besides avoiding these foods, we also need to consume water regularly because water has a lot of benefit for our body. According to the experts, we should drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
The last is a lack of exercise. Our bodies desperately need exercise to keep our body in shape. With a fit body, the immune system will be strong enough to fight the diseases that might attack. The experts recommend us to take time for 30 minutes each day just for doing exercise. There are so many simple exercises that we can do at home such as jogging, lifting weights, pushing-ups and many others. We could also do heavy exercises such as swimming and playing ball at least once a week.
